Peter has extensive experience in negotiating and consummating major real estate transactions, including purchase and sale agreements of high-rise office buildings, business parks and large industrial buildings and residential projects, as well as negotiation of major industrial, retail, and office leases and ground leases, construction contracts and development agreements. His practice areas include joint venture negotiation and formation.

Peter’s comprehensive knowledge includes the expertise in a wide-range of real estate transactions such as the purchase, sale and leasing of real estate assets; ground lease negotiation and drafting; construction contracts and related agreements; equipment leasing and finance; international development (Europe); joint venture formation; project development and finance; real estate development, land use and construction; real estate finance; secured lending; surety and fidelity bonding; workouts and remedies.

Peter has extensive banking practice experience, including representation of Banks and Savings and Loan Associations in major transactions, including representation of large international borrowers.

Peter has extensive land use practice and entitlement processing experience with state and local agencies. Significant practice in commercial and residential subdivision formation, including preparation of commercial and residential development agreements and covenants, conditions and restrictions.

Peter developed and implemented the first voluntary toxic cleanup in California and successfully initiated a major clean-up claim against the federal government.

Peter’s practice history also includes many years of litigation, with extensive trial experience which cases have included general complex business and corporate litigation, and complex construction litigation.
